04FEB05- Talk of a New Tourney Titan and Madcat have been working to get a New Winter Tourney underway. Stay Tuned for more details!
16NOV04- Summer Knights Slam Tourney Concludes! After Months of battle throughout the Star Knights Universe, a single player emerges from the fray. Congratulations to the 2004 SKST Tourney Winner, Neocon. A nice point to note is that he actually played the 2003 Winner of Intruder's Champion's Cup Tourney, Defman, in an earlier Summer Knights Slam round. It seems fitting that Neocon had to get past Def to make it to the top. There are a BUNCH of people to thank for help in this. Thanks to Skyven, for his support of the tourney and for creating Star Knights to begin with. Thanks to Intruder for his tourney rules framework from which I borrowed greatly. Also thanks to Moon for setting aside space on SKHQ in support of our tourneys. And thanks to Brutus for his suggestions, as well. Needless to say, without players a tourney is dead in the water. For all the players who joined in the tourney, I want to say Thank You! I am glad to see a newer generation player, Neocon, do so well in the tourney. I am also grateful that we had some of the first generation SK players join in. And, finally, I am glad that a few of the lower levels had the courage to join in. I will be the first to state that this year's tourney was not flawless. I am thinking that next year we could run a different setup to give the unreged players their own division. Winner of the unregistered division would win a prize for that level and advance to play on in the Full Tourney. This, of course, is open to discussion. I know there were other issues, as well. We have plenty of time to talk this over before next year's tourney. And we have plenty of time to help show newer players how to become tourney quality players. That said, it is time for me to start cleaning up the Tournement archives. But other tourney's may start this winter. If not, then I look forward to meeting you all in battle next summer, Admirals!
07AUG04- Round One of the Summer Tourney is Complete. Winners were: Defman, Skull, Darkwing, Tomi, Intruder, Qix, Husker, and Neocon. Round Two games are now underway, or about to begin. For more information, check out the "Tournament" link at the top of the SKHQ homepage.
25JUN04- Games have commenced in Round One of the Summer Tourney! As Round 1 Scheduling Week Draws to a close, three of the eight matches are officially underway with full attendance of players. Also, another match will be slightly delayed, as agreed upon by all players in that match. Such delays are ok if all players involved in that match are satisfied. For those who have not yet entered a match, the Round One scheduling deadline is Midnight Saturday/Sunday (Pacific Daylight Time).
06JUN04- Tournament Rules have been Finalized A new Forum has been created for the Tourney. The orginal tourney related topics have been moved there and locked. They are available for referance only. Feel free to post new threads as you like, but please remain on topic (ie..the tournament). Many brave Admirals have stepped up to answer the challenge of tournament battle, Good Luck to each of them and God's Speed.
